Upon transferring to ASU West from Glendale Community College I was naturally nervous. The idea of continuing my degree in a new environment wasn't entirely comforting, but through the help of both the TRAIN STEM class and Adult Career Development class, I was able to adjust comfortably and quickly. Both classes provided for a great introduction to the school and its resources. These classes also provided great instruction on how to utilize said resources. For example, some way into both classes I was introduced to the career center at ASU West and found it extremely helpful in developing a solid resume and introductory letter. These classes were a wonderful surprise in regard to their content which helped me greatly in not only becoming more comfortable at West Campus but becoming a bit of an expert for the provided resources.
